Unlike any other Chess teacher, No Stress Chess teaches you how to play using illustrated cards and an illustrated 2-sided board.

How does it work?

One side of the board is normal (for when you just want to play normal chess) and the other has the labels for piece placements and has both players start with the D and E pawns advanced.

The game is played by drawing cards from a stack. Each card has a piece on it and a description of how that piece moves, and there’s no check. The goal is to attack the king of course. So you and your opponent take turns drawing and moving.

Eventually you can try where both players start with a hand of 3 cards, then 5 cards,etc. Now the player gets to choose what piece to move but is still limited to the cards in their hand. You can add en passant, check, castling etc as you want.

it’s actually a really fun alternative to the normal game. It takes the stress out of the game by telling you what you have to move, while still allowing you to increase the difficulty by starting with more cards in hand later on.
